How Zarafshon Oyna LLC monitors NOx emissions.
Regular environmental monitoring allows industrial enterprises not only to comply with legal regulations, but also to prevent possible risks to human health. For ZARAFSHON OYNA LLC, this issue is especially relevant due to the proximity of residential areas.
The construction of the plant was carried out with the support of the KfW International bank. One of the key conditions for financing was the compliance of the plant's activities with the new environmental requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as international environmental standards.
To meet these requirements, ZARAFSHON OYNA LLC organized a year-long monitoring of atmospheric air in the factory and in the nearest residential areas.
The main source of emissions from the glass factory is the 45—meter high chimney of the glass furnace, which accounts for almost 93% of all nitrogen dioxide (No₂) emissions.
The monitoring was carried out by the NBT Group team, which conducted monitoring for ten months, starting in February 2024, regularly updating data and checking the operation of the equipment. The monitoring was carried out using a stationary AQMesh gas analyzer.
According to the monthly and daily averages, NO and No₂ exceed the norms established by the sanitary rules of Uzbekistan and international standards.
Thanks to the modern equipment installed at the plant, the plant has built a high-level air quality control system and has proven its compliance with the requirements of international environmental legislation.
In terms of equipment and technical capabilities, the plant fully complies with international standards and has no analogues in Central Asia.
The production line allows the production of sheet glass, grade M0, the maximum size of the jumbo format, thickness from 2 to 12 mm.
The production capacity of the plant is 16 million square meters of flat glass per year.
